BACKGROUND
Jono was raised in Wellington. After working for two years in plumbing and gas fitting, Jono undertook and completed his apprenticeship with Willmott & Wylie who specialised in high-end homes and sympathetic heritage renovations, completing his apprenticeship in 1991.
Being ambitious, Jono wanted international experience and to explore alternative construction methods and left New Zealand in 1992.
Initially Jono travelled through the Pacific Islands, working on infrastructure projects to help the locals, and acted as a site foreman on several island resorts before moving to, and settling down, in Southern California.
Over the following 12 years, he worked on many demanding architectural projects over multiple states including Georgia, Ohio, Arizona, Connecticut, Illinois, and of course California.
In 2004, Jono returned to New Zealand where he began with Precision Construction. He progressed quickly from site manager, through to contracts manager and ultimately project manager in 2018.
He has delivered multiple projects of an award-winning quality, consistently throughout this time.
Jono is extremely passionate about his projects, delivering on expectations and making clients dreams a reality. He enjoys solving technical challenges with all parties involved to achieve the best outcome.
Outside of work, Jono loves spending time with family and is an avid golfer and skier.
